My Great Love For Mary and Jesus

My Great Love For Mary and Jesus

My Great Love For Mary and Jesus

Hi/Salam/Peace to all
im a Muslim and i respect and love Jesus and Mary Peace Be Upon Them.i want to share with you this informations about Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ from the Quran.
Jesus in the Quran holds one of the highest statues amongst the Prophets. Unlike other Prophets who performed miracles, Jesus himself was a miracle, as he was born of a virgin mother, and God describes him and his mother Mary as such:

“…and We made her (Mary) and her son (Jesus) a sign for the worlds.” (Quran 21:91)

Nonetheless, in the Quran, Jesus is described as having many miracles not bestowed upon other prophets. God says:

“And We gave unto Jesus, son of Mary, clear miracles” (Quran 2:87)

Mary, otherwise known as Maryam to Muslims, is highly revered in the Christian faith for being the Mother of Jesus. However, not many are aware of her high and noble standing in Islam. Her elevated status is in fact explicitly mentioned in the Quran and also described in the authentic narrations of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Messenger had in fact listed her as one of the four greatest women of all time who had reached perfection. [1]
Jesus Christ is described in the Quran as Pure Son (Quran 19:16-21) and his mother Mary mentioned as the chosen woman of the world (Quran 3:42-44) and Allah has chosen her as the best of the women of this world. In fact, Mary is the only woman mentioned by her name in the Entire Quran.

here list of six important facts about Mary mentioned in the Quran for all to benefit.

1. She gave birth to Jesus despite being a virgin.

{ She said, “How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?” He said, “Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, ‘It is easy for Me…” }

{ Quran 19:20-21 }

2. She was chosen by Allah above all women.

{ When the angels said, “O Mary, indeed Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds }

{ Quran 3:42 }

3. She was falsely accused of infidelity.

{ She brought him (Jesus) to her people, carrying him. They said, “O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented. O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste.” }

{ Quran 19:27-28 }

another translation :

{ Then she came to her people, carrying him. They said, ‘O Mary, you have done something terrible. O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste.” }

{ Quran 19:27-28 }

4. An entire Chapter is named after her in the Quran.

Her name is the centre-point of the 19th Chapter of the Quran, ‘Surat Maryam’.

In fact, Mary is the only woman referred by her first name in the Quran. This is an honourable status granted by the Quran only to few, mostly to the Prophets, Messengers and Angels.

5. She experienced many miracles.

{ Every time Zechariah entered upon her in the prayer chamber, he found with her provision. He said, “O Mary, from where is this [coming] to you?” She said, “It is from Allah . Indeed, Allah provides for whom He wills without account.” }

{ Quran 3:37 }

In the interpretation of this verse, scholars say that every time Zachariah would visit her, he would miraculously find her with the fruits of summer during winter and the fruits of winter during summer.

6. She was incredibly chaste, pious and modest.

{ And Mary, the daughter of ‘Imran, who guarded her chastity… she believed in the words of her Lord and His scriptures and was of the devoutly obedient }

{ Quran 66:12 }

These are just a sample of some of the important qualities and features of Mary the mother of Jesus as found in the Quran. We hope that all people can benefit from this knowledge and also follow in her noble footsteps.

- The Miracle of Jesus’ Birth

Jesus Christ was born miraculously by the command of God, the same command that had brought Adam into being with neither a father nor a mother. also Jesus is a sign of God’s power, where God showed people that He could create Jesus without a father, as He created Adam without any parents. Similarly, just as God created Adam with no father or mother, Jesus’ birth was from mother with no father. All that is needed for God for something to happen is to say “Be” and it is; for God is capable of all things. Adam was created when God said, “Be,” and he to be without a father or a mother. And so was Jesus created by the Word of God. If the unusual birth of Jesus makes him divine, then Adam deserves more of that divinity because Jesus at least had one parent, while Adam had none. As Adam is not divine, so is Jesus not divine, but both are humble servants of God :

{ Verily, Jesus is as Adam in the sight of God. He created him of dust: He then said to him, “Be” – and he was }

[1]The 4 Greatest Women in History

In a world where women search for inspiration from all walks of life, there are no better role models than those indicated to us by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

In a famous narration, Anas Bin Malik reported that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“From among the women of the world who have reached perfection and who are worthy of following are (the following four):Miryam the daughter of Imrân; Khadija daughter of Khuwailid; Fatima daughter of Muhammad and Asiyah wife of Fir’aun” (Tirmidhi)

Let’s take a closer look into the lives of these women.

- Khadija Bint Khuwaylid
Khadija was a wealthy merchant who was well established in the city of Makkah. She proposed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when she was 40 years old, despite being 15 years his senior. She enjoyed a fulfilling marriage to the Prophet, and was the first person to accept Islam after he received revelation.

She went through a great amount of suffering following the Prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ and she undertook many sacrifices to support his mission. The Prophet never forgot her great service to himself and the Islamic faith. He would in fact always remind others of her great favour years after her passing.

Aisha says in a narration:

“….The Prophet (ﷺ) used to mention her (Khadija) very often, and when ever he slaughtered a sheep, he would cut its parts and send them to the women friends of Khadija. When I sometimes said to him, “(You treat Khadija in such a way) as if there is no woman on earth except Khadija,” he would say, “Khadija was such-and-such, and from her I had children.” Bukhari

The Prophet ﷺ also informed us that it was Allah Himself who sent her glad tidings of Paradise and bestowed upon her greetings of peace.

Aisha also says:

“ I never felt so jealous of any woman as I felt of Khadija, for Allah ordered him (the Prophet (ﷺ) ) to give Khadija the glad tidings of a palace in Paradise (for her).” Bukhari

- Fatimah Bint Muhammad

Fatimah was the daughter of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Khadijah. She was well known for her piety, modesty and faith. She would also often come to the defence of her father whenever he was attacked by those who despised his religion.

She was nicknamed “Al-Zahra” by the Prophet, which means “The Splending One”. She also married the cousin of the Prophet, Ali Ibn Abi Taleb, and gave birth to four children, Hassan, Hussain, Zainab and Um Kulthum. She lived a life of simplicity and often experienced great hardship and poverty.

The Prophet also informed her on his deathbed that she would be a leader of the women in Paradise.

“Oh Fatima would you not be pleased that you are a leader of the women of Paradise” Bukhari and Muslim.

- Asiyah Bint Mazaahim

Asiyah was the wife of the tyrant Pharaoh and lived during the time of the Prophet Moses. She in fact raised Moses herself and was a stern believer in Allah.

After Pharaoh had become aware of her devotion to faith, she suffered severe oppression. After all, it was her husband who would claim to be God himself. He eventually organised for her to be crushed by a boulder, however Allah had taken away her soul before this occurred.

She was referred to by Allah as an “example for the believers”. She had also asked Allah for a Palace in Paradise near Him and was granted this, as indicated in the Quran.

“And Allah presents an example of those who believed: the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, “My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people.” Quran 66:11

- Maryam Bint Imraan

Maryam was the mother of the Prophet Jesus, who had a miraculous birth without a father. Her story is given in great detail throughout the Quran, including her religious upbringing, her miracles and also her ability to overcome the accusations of the townspeople. There is in fact an entire chapter named after Maryam in the Quran [ chapter 19 read here ] .
Mary (may Allah be pleased with her): She devoted her life to prayer and worship of the Almighty. Although unmarried, she miraculously gave birth to Jesus (peace be upon him). She was accused of adultery and chastised for bringing disrepute to the family name. But Jesus spoke from the cradle [2] and exonerated her { He shall speak to people while still in the cradle, and in manhood, and he shall be from the righteous } (Quran 3:46)

When she gave her life to Allah, Allah gave her a child that protected her integrity even whilst he was in the cradle.

Allah states about her in the Quran
“Allah has chosen you, purified you and chosen you above all women”. { Quran 3:42 }

Allah also referred to her as an “example for the believers” and stated that “She believed in the words of her Lord and His scriptures and was of the devoutly obedient”.
{ Quran 66:12 }
Mary’s life was characterized by piety, chastity and faith.

[2] : One of the miracles mentioned in the Quran, although not mentioned in the Bible, is that fact that Jesus, while still in the cradle, spoke out to protect his mother Mary from any accusations people may have placed on her due to having a child without a father.  When she was approached about this strange incident after her childbirth, Mary merely pointed to Jesus, and he miraculously spoke, just as God had promised her upon annunciation.

"He shall speak to people while still in the cradle, and in manhood, and he shall be from the righteous." (Quran 3:46)

Jesus said to the people:

{ [Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah . He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet. And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant. And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive. That is Jesus, the son of Mary the word of truth about which they are in dispute. it does not befit the majesty of God that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! He is far above that: when He decrees something, He says only, Be! and it is ” }

( Mary 19:30-35 )
